Last December 28th, Bizkaia Irratia, a radio station known for giving a voice to local realities and initiatives in Basque municipalities, broadcasted a special edition of Herriz Herri. This program, hosted by Beñat Igarza, was recorded live from the Kultur Etxea in Igorre and was dedicated to highlighting the dynamism of the municipality in areas such as culture, sports, and industry.
Walter Pack played a prominent role in this special, with the participation of Itxasne Cruz, Project Leader at the Igorre plant, who shared the story of our organization since its beginnings in the Arratia valley. During her speech, Itxasne emphasized how our evolution has been driven by a clear purpose: “At Walter Pack, we work to transform how people interact with technology through decorative and functional solutions, always with a strong commitment to people and the environment around us,” she stated.
From Igorre to the World
Itxasne also highlighted how Walter Pack has managed to bring its innovation to the world, becoming a global benchmark in the design and development of decorative and functional solutions for demanding sectors such as automotive and home appliances.
“We are an example of how a company born in a small Basque village can reach international markets without losing sight of our roots and our commitment to the local community,” she noted.
Solidarity from the Heart of the Arratia Valley
She also emphasized our membership in Ner Group, which strengthens our focus on collaboration and commitment to society. As an example of this commitment, Itxasne spoke about the recent solidarity initiative led by Walter Pack to support Valencia following the effects of DANA.
“At Walter Pack, we organized a collection of essential materials made possible thanks to the support of our people, the Igorre Town Hall, and the Arratia Valley Association. The most moving part was seeing how all this collaboration directly reached Motherson Picassent, our client, who expressed their profound gratitude, highlighting our human touch,” she added.
This appearance on Herriz Herri allowed Walter Pack to showcase its commitment to its surroundings and its ability to combine innovation and solidarity, being a key player in both industrial development and strengthening community ties.
